FIELD: determining specific magnetic properties mainly of ferromagnetic materials. SUBSTANCE: device designed for determining magnetic properties of materials in the form of finely dispersed powders with particle size as small as tens of micrometer fractions has magnet with interpole gap, shaped lugs secured on magnet poles, test chamber set in working position between shaped lugs, chamber thermostatic control system, carrier with lock for holding specimen under test disposed within chamber symmetrically to shaped lugs, device for converting specimen-to-magnetic-field interacting force to measured value, and means for measuring this value; mentioned force converter is made in the form of self-excited oscillator incorporating piezoelectric stabilization provision; specimen carrier is, essentially, piezoelectric cavity inserted in self-excited oscillator circuit where it functions as frequency-setting component; specimen lock is mounted on vacant surface of piezoelectric cavity.
