FIELD: symmetric measurement of absolute values of free fall acceleration. SUBSTANCE: ballistic gravimeter for symmetric way of measurement includes test mass with optical reflector, vacuum chamber, pusher carriage with guides, solenoid electromagnetic drive comprising armature and coil. Pusher carriage is coupled to solenoid armature by means of equal-arm pantograph to ensure reduced recoil of catapult when test mass is thrown up. EFFECT: increased measurement accuracy. 1 dwg
