FIELD: low-power solar concentrators for space vehicles. SUBSTANCE: trough-shaped solar concentrator has retractable flexible reflector panels of thin polymeric film with aluminum or silver coating; these panels are disposed over longer sides of solar-battery panel and tilted so that reflected sun light is directed to panel and ray reflected from external edge of reflector panel is incident on edge of opposite side of solar-battery panel ensuring uniform distribution of reflected sun light on solar-battery panel to obtain optimal characteristics. During starting period of space vehicle flexible reflector panels are stowed away by folding them about rods or about themselves. Pending starting the rods are stowed over longer sides of solar-battery panel. After starting the rods are let out and set at certain angle to solar-battery panel by means of pulleys and cables which maintain reflector panels in tensioned condition in the course of their letting out when all the sections of solar-battery panels are drawn out to flat position.
