Abstract RU 2192546 C1

FIELD: fire-fighting equipment; applicable in extinguishing fires of various categories, particularly, fires at plants of fuel, chemical, oil refining and coal industries. SUBSTANCE: foam generator includes nozzle connected with a source of fluid under pressure, cylindrical-conical body, conical screen located in body with screen cone vertex directed along motion of gas-fluid flow. Conical screen is located in a spaced relation to body walls and has circular jet straightener located behind screen along motion of gas-fluid flow. Nozzle is connected with body conical part and has handle for control of turning blades for varying angle of spray of supplied fluid from 0 to 40 dwg. Foam generator may be applicable in extinguishing of fires in regions of oil and gas production, fires in coal mines, at plants of wood, wood-working and wood-pulp and paper industry, postemergency fires on aircraft and also on railway and sea transport. EFFECT: separation of foam into two flows with different kinetic energies ensuring supply of foam over large distances. 2 cl, 5 dwg
