FIELD: machine engineering, namely friction discs. SUBSTANCE: disc includes frictional cover plates made of composite material. On friction surface of frictional cover plates there are grooves made in limits of working thickness of cover plates fixed to metallic carcass along outer contour of which there are alternating holes and recesses. Grooves of cover plates are arranged in zones of recesses of carcass. EFFECT: lowered possibility for breaking disc by action of centrifugal loads, increased working angular velocity values due to reduced mass of carcass also providing improved reinforcement of cover plates in groove zones. 1 dwg
