FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: proposed friction disk contains metal framework with fitted on composite friction linings. Grooves are made in surface of linings whose depth increases in direction towards outer contour of disk. Invention makes it possible to prevent destruction of disk, increase angular velocities and stability of friction characteristics of disk owing to reduction of possibility of jump-like changes of friction characteristics with wear of linings.
