SUBSTANCE: helical heat exchanger has shell with inlet and outlet branch pipes for passing of first heat-exchange medium with guides of its flow and sections of helical heat- exchange tubes located at spaced relation inside shell in parallel relative to one another; they are connected with inlet and outlet collectors of second heat-exchange medium; their turns tightly adjoin each other and their ends are fitted at spaced relation in inner central passage formed by central heat-exchange tubes; flow guides of first heat-exchange medium on the outside of helical heat-exchange tubes are formed by sections of helical heat- exchange tubes of second heat-exchange medium; passages for flow of medium to outlet branch pipe of first heat-exchange medium are provided with radial guide fins; ratio of external diameter of tubes in each section to their inner diameter ranges from 1.5 to 3 and ratio of diameter of heat-exchange tube to width of passage for flow of first heat-exchange medium ranges from 2 to 10.
