FIELD: refrigerating engineering. SUBSTANCE: intermediate reservoir consists of set of vertical and horizontal sections made from tubes whose inner diameter is equal to 152 mm and lesser which are interconnected by means of equalizing branch pipes. Vertical sections are provided with bubbling devices in form of inverted hood with serrated edges; vapor inlet branch pipe of compressor low stage is placed in this hood. Vapor is released from oil and is cooled to intermediate temperature corresponding to intermediate pressure due to heat exchanger with liquid ammonia fed to section at level maintained above serrated edges by approximately 100 mm. Then, vapor raises and becomes free from moisture passing through inclined screen baffle plates. Horizontal sections mounted above vertical ones are provided with tubular heat exchangers, thus ensuring additional dehumidification of ammonia vapor due to supercooling of liquid ammonia and plate dissectors provided with holes or slots for smooth distribution of vapor in horizontal direction and cover brackets of arbitrary shape which are located above outlet branch pipes of all vertical sections, thus also providing for smooth distribution in horizontal direction due to baffling of vapor from bracket.
