FIELD: veterinary mycology, immunology. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to prophylaxis and treatment of dermatophytosis in animals. Method involves inoculation and separate growing cultures of fungi M. canis, M. gypseum, T. mentagrophytes followed by preparing fungal homogenates. Ribotane is used as immunomodulating agent and formalin is used as inactivating agent. Fungal elements: conidia, macroconidia, arthrospores, chlamydospores, microconidia are taken in any ratio in homogenates. Immunogenic vaccine comprises 25-50 mln of fungal elements in 1 ml. Method provides preparing immunogenic vaccine with low reactivity and decreased concentration of fungal cells in 1 ml of vaccine. Vaccine does not cause negative body response and produces immunity for 12 months, not less. EFFECT: improved method preparing and properties of vaccine.
