FIELD: catalysts used for hydraulic cleaning of oil raw material. SUBSTANCE: catalyst is based on aluminum oxide which contains the following components in terms of weight content of oxide, wt.%: cobalt oxide CoO, 2-10; molybdenum oxide MoO3, 10-30; phosphorus oxide P2O5, 4-10 at surface area according to BET method between 100 and 300 sq.m/g, crushing strength more than 1.4 MPa and average diameter of pores between 8 and 11 nm, volume of pores at diameter more than 14 nm lesser than 0.08 ml/g, volume of pores at diameter lesser than 8 nm no more than 0.05 ml/g and volume of pores at diameter of from 8 to 14 nm between 0.20 mg/l and 0.80 ml/g.
