FIELD: transport engineering; wheel drives and suspensions. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to drive of wheel axle and steering levers of suspensions, particularly to device providing turning of axle around its cross axis to compensate for turning of axle around longitudinal axis at negotiating irregularities of surface. Tie-rod 6 connects axle 3 with frame 2. It consists of two parts capable of turning one into the other. In case of oscillations of axle around longitudinal axis caused by irregularities of road, cross axle of hinge joint 4 of axle 3 rotates one part of tie-rod 6 one into the other, and consequently, turning of axle 3 around its cross axis through definite angle. This angle is provided by pitch of thread of thread of parts of tie-rod 6 turned one into the other being calculated by formula: h = 2πR/jp, where h is helix line pitch, R is distance from axis of driving wheels to axis on hinged tie-rod on driving axle housing, jp is reduction gear ratio.
