FIELD: mechanical engineering, particularly, self-aligning block bearings. SUBSTANCE: support bearing unit has body with channels for lubricant supply and drain hollow, shaft journal, self-aligning blocks embracing shaft journal and having radial hole and pocket made in central part of block working surface. Bearing has distributing grooves at its inlet and outlet edges. One of grooves located at inlet edge is communicated through channels in block body with lubricant supply channels, and the other groove located at outlet edge is through and parallel to longitudinal axis of bearing unit. Bearing unit includes also locking screws and oil removing scrapers. Installed in lower block is insert in the form of terminal scraper, and in interblock space, oil removing scraper is installed behind each block containing no insert in the form of terminal scraper.
