FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building, namely, to thrust journal bearings with self-aligning shoes, and can be used in designs of steam turbines, compressors, pumps and other rotary machines. Reversing plain thrust bearing includes housing with lubricant supply channels, thrust self-aligning shoes, fixing screws, oil scraper installed in inter-shoes position. On back side of each self-aligning shoe, there are at least two hydrostatic pockets, wherein each hydrostatic pocket on rear side of each thrust self-adjusting shoe is connected to working surface of its thrust self-aligning shoe by through hole located in formation zone of hydrodynamic pressure diagram, note here that scraper body has holes to communicate grease feed channels with bearing chamber with top section of oil scraper coupled with working surface of thrust self-aligning shoe. In compliance with second version, at least two hydrostatic pockets are made in housing of reversing thrust bearing opposite to each thrust self-adjusting shoe in symmetry about its longitudinal plane, wherein each hydrostatic pocket in the bearing housing is connected to the working surface of its self-aligning shoe by the through hole, located in the formation zone of the hydrodynamic pressure diagram.
EFFECT: higher bearing capacity of reversing thrust plain bearing to nonreversible one and damping properties.
