FIELD: radio engineering. SUBSTANCE: method enables speed and reliability of decoding of base stations of adjacent cells to be increased thanks to acceleration of decoding process if quality of signal in traffic channel is within specified limits which is technical result of invention. In particular, adjacent controlling channels are controlled and decoded with high speed as information is disregarded in channel of speech traffic. Speech signal is interrupted and channel information is decoded when error coefficient in bits or error coefficient in frames in traffic channel deteriorates while another channel has better signal. Interruption of speech channel can be planned also if start of call right after communication transfer does not contain sufficient information on adjacent cell. Lost speech signal can be reconstructed with the aid of traditional methods of extrapolation of speech signal.
