FIELD: agricultural engineering. SUBSTANCE: seeding unit has drums, hopper and dozer. Drums are made cylindrical and mounted in spaced relation one with respect to another. Drum surfaces are equipped with multiple-thread screw channels oriented in different directions and longitudinal triangular notches. Drums are positioned in horizontal plane under hopper so that lower side walls of hopper are arranged along their upper generatrices. Hopper has blind rear wall and front wall provided with discharge window closed with dosing gate. Lower edge of dosing gate has profile coinciding with that of chute defined by drums rotating in opposite phases, and wall is spaced from drum ends by distance of 20-25 mm. Two plates are positioned rearward of dosing gate at an angle to axes of drums to define narrowing seed passage symmetrical with respect to drums. At least two shields are disposed in hopper at different heights, each of shields closing 50-60% of hopper internal section. Hopper front wall is positioned at side adjacent to discharge window at an obtuse angle of 120-130 deg to surface of drums. Seeding unit is used for sowing sugar beet, cereals and other crops by single-grain method at small seeding norm. EFFECT: increased quality of dosing process and reduced seed fracturing. 3 cl, 4 dwg
