AN ORTHOPEDIC HINGE Russian patent published in 2002 - IPC

FIELD: medicine, prosthesis-manufacturing industry. SUBSTANCE: the suggested orthopedic hinge consists of the upper element and the lower one connected to each other with possibility to rotate with the help of a hinge screw and a manually opened arresting device, its catch being in the upper element with possibility to move. The upper element is divided in a plane perpendicular to a hinge screw into a base and a lid which covers it, at least, partially. The catch is located with possibility to move in mutually corresponding groove-like cut-outs designed in counter internal sides of a base and a lid. The innovation enables to obtain improved function properties of a hinge due to removed contamination in area of the catch's movement. EFFECT: higher efficiency of prosthetics. 2 cl, 11 dwg
