FIELD: transport means. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to stairs climbing devices operated by motor and designed for transportation of implements and loads, being split-secured on device 10, for instance, lifting of armchairs with disabled persons in chair. Proposed device has strong frame with energy source, drive force source, drive control system, probes-pickup 131 and pickups, and stairs climbing mechanisms. It has also running wheels 12 on frame by means of which device thrust against or moves upstairs with possibility of free-wheeling. Device 10 is furnished additionally with support 30 installed for turning relative to climbing device 10 and designed to provide resting on step 1.2, 1.3 of stairs and locking brake 40 fro locking support 30 controlled by pickup to lock support 30 relative to climbing device 30 in case of danger of falling of device 10 on stairs 1. Invention provides removable light-weight device of small size which can be used with any loads to be transported, particularly armchairs for disabled persons.
