FIELD: oil-gas producing industry; hydromechanical jars designed for freezing of stuck pipes in well overhaul. SUBSTANCE: hydromechanical jar includes hollow body with lower and upper anvils. Body accommodates hollow rod with striker installed for axial motion. Locking unit is made in the form of collet with locking member. Collet is installed on hollow rod. Locking unit has fixed collet seat secured in body, and two movable seats including stop seat having windows and springs, and shutoff seat, for instance, conical with seal located between stop and immovable collet seats. Shutoff seat is movable in axial direction and comes in contact with shutoff member, for instance, ball and immovable seat. Locking unit is spring-loaded by regulated spring installed on side of stop seat. Stop seat moves in axial direction and comes in contact with shutoff member and shutoff seat. Invention using makes it possible to increase operating reliability of hydromechanical jar due to performance of guaranteed range of control in mechanical disengagement, and to increase efficiency of operating processes due to using of mechanical conditions in cases when threshold of hydraulic regime is exhausted.
