METHOD OF DEVELOPING NONUNIFORM OIL DEPOSIT Russian patent published in 2002 - IPC

FIELD: oil producing industry; methods of development of oil deposits with nonuniform reservoirs using waterflooding. SUBSTANCE: method includes drilling of deposits by in-line nonuniform well pattern, injection of displacement agent into injection wells and withdrawal of products from producing wells. After transfer of displacement agent front to the first lines of producing wells, wells of injection line are transformed to category of producing and operated under conditions of formation pressure being below saturation, but not below critical pressure of plasto-elastic deformation of producing formation skeleton up to attainment of limiting profitable waterflooding. Then research is carried out for detection of interlayers with residual oil saturation. After it, products are withdrawn from wells having maximum number of interlayers with residual oil saturation and higher hypsometric elevation. Injection is renewed into wells located in depressed sections of structure. EFFECT: higher oil recovery factor of oil deposit.
