GEAR-TYPE REVERSIBLE VARIABLE-CAPACITY PUMP Russian patent published in 2002 - IPC

FIELD: industrial hydraulic drives and hydraulic transmissions of self-propelled machines. SUBSTANCE: pump has housing with sections, drive gears and driven gear which is movable in axial direction. Driven gear is provided with internal engagement teeth and is connected with four drive gears mounted in cylindrical bores of inner housing made in form of three rigidly interconnected sections which are also connected with end plate and housing of pump. Pairs of diametrically opposite drive gears are shifted along axis of driven gear and diametrically through 90 deg for matching delivery and suction chambers. Driven gear is mounted in section on inner housing and is kinematically linked with motion mechanism. Four suction and discharge chambers are communicated with outlet passages of pump and with inner housing cavity of pump by means of check valves. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency; increased range of adjustment of capacity; extended functional capabilities of pump. 2 cl, 6 dwg
