FIELD: lighting fixtures for operation in explosive media. SUBSTANCE: proposed lantern is provided with groups of light-emitting diodes having different color of radiation. Each group is provided with current regulator and switch. Different spectrum of lantern radiation may be obtained through regulation of current of individual group. Provision is made for several modifications of device. In one modification, light-emitting diodes are located in solid plastic housing. According to one version, light-emitting diodes have different flux patterns which makes it possible to change total flux pattern with no change in focal distance of lens. Provision is made for disconnection of some light-emitting diodes at definite color of radiation in case of dangerous concentration of gases when gas analyzer is available.
