AGGREGATE FOR LUMBER DRYING Russian patent published in 2002 - IPC

FIELD: wood processing, lumber drying. SUBSTANCE: aggregate for lumber drying presents drying chamber fitted with compressor 33 and air distributor with system of air conduits ensuring formation of alternating pressure (vacuum drying condition) in drying chamber to provide for improved quality of drying, its reduced time and decrease of electric energy consumption. Recuperator 34 connected by pipe unions 36a and 36b correspondingly to pressure and suction pipe-lines of compressor is employed to prevent loss of heat with hot moisture-laden air released from drying chamber and to condensate moisture. Rotor of air distributor is provided with additional space with groove in its shell and body is fitted with two pairs of pipe unions positioned diametrically opposite. One pair is connected to pressure and suction pipe-lines and the other pair is linked to recuperator by by-pass lines. EFFECT: enhanced quality of lumber drying, reduced time of process and decreased specific energy consumption. 7 dwg
