FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves introducing bioplastic material into Tenon's space as 1.2-1.5 ml of 0.75% glycosamine glycans solution in physiological salt solution. Then, phonophoresis with contact medium of 0.35% glycosamine glycans solution is carried out under increasing current intensity during 3-5 min. The treatment course is 10-15 sessions long administered every second day. The phonophoresis and electrophoresis sessions are alternated. The injected glycosamine glycans solution contains hyaluronic acid, chodroitin-4-sulfate, chodroitin-6-sulfate, dermatan sulfate, heparan sulfate in known ingredient proportions. EFFECT: normalized metabolism processes in eye tissues; restored sclera strength; stopped myopia progress.
