DEVICE FOR APPLICATION OF PROTECTION PATTERN ON SECURITIES Russian patent published in 2002 - IPC

FIELD: printing press for application of protection marks on securities. SUBSTANCE: the mentioned printing press has an accumulator of paper sheets, means for delivery of paper sheets and a unit for application of the protection pattern in the form of images applied at least onto one film brought in contact with paper with pressing of these images to definite zones on paper corresponding to the disposition of images on securities. The unit for application of the protection pattern has a form cylinder with signets located in the periphery of the form cylinder in concord with the position of the printing zones, operating jointly with the impression cylinder, with paper passing between them, the film is installed between two delivery reels and, respectively, the film take-up reel, and the film passes in parallel with the film movement path. Provision is made for a means for film preheating positioned before the form cylinder, for heating of images, which are then pressed to the sheet of paper due to a simple contact of the signets with the images and impression cylinder. EFFECT: simplified construction of the device and excluded readjustment of the device at a change of the size of the notes or sheets. 10 cl, 4 dwg
