FIELD: fire-fighting equipment. SUBSTANCE: aerosol generator has cylindrical casing with insertable aerosol-forming charge and ignition unit. Toroidal housing secured to casing has annular fire-suppressing aerosol discharge opening positioned in its lower part. Slag receiver positioned under aerosol-forming charge is adapted for collecting slag produced during burning of said charge. Condensate collector positioned under annular opening at discharge end of toroidal housing is adapted for catching high-temperature condensed drops of fire-suppressing aerosol. Aerosol generator of such construction provides for safe operation due to elimination of outburst of red hot slag from generator and flowing out of high-temperature condensed drops of fire-suppressing aerosol from generator casing.
