FIELD: underwater acoustics. SUBSTANCE: method can be employed to decrease intensity of primary and secondary hydroacoustic fields of various underwater structures as well as surface and underwater craft. Essence of invention lies in formation of ultrasonic field with use of intensive ultrasonic radiation with frequency 1.0-10.0 Mhz around craft which shifts spectra of primary and secondary fields thanks to interaction with them to region of medium ultrasonic frequencies which are considerably absorbed by neighboring layers of water. EFFECT: potential for substantially reduced intensity of hydroacoustic fields of craft. 6 cl, 3 dwg
