METHOD FOR DETECTION OF INTRUSION OF UNDERWATER OBJECT INTO MONITORED REGION OF NATURAL POOL Russian patent published in 2000 - IPC

FIELD: hydroacoustic equipment. SUBSTANCE: method involves setting monitored region of natural pool by means of hydroacoustic reflectors, which are arranged about elliptical surface, putting hydroacoustic emitter and receiver into focuses of elliptical surface. Emitter is designed as circular hydroacoustic antenna. Receiver, which is connected to J-scope indicator, has uniform beam pattern. Emitter outputs acoustic power pulses in different directions in sequence. The pulses reach receiver in constant time after reflection from hydroacoustic reflectors. J- scope indicator produces a sequence of pulse. When an underwater object enters into monitored region, a pulse on J-scope indicator indicates target. Sequential processing of output signals provides possibility to detect target course. EFFECT: increased signal-to- noise ratio, hidden detection and tracking of target. 5 cl, 3 dwg
