PROCEDURE PREVENTING ERRORS IN MULTIMEDIA SYSTEM Russian patent published in 2002 - IPC

FIELD: multimedia systems. SUBSTANCE: technical result of invention lies in improved restoration of data and in raised carrying capacity of channels in presence of random errors and package errors with use of convolution punched code compatible with transmission speed and automatic repeat transmission on request. With this in mind procedure preventing errors includes following stages: (a) decoding of first package from collection of packages; (b) decoding of another package when there is found error in process of decoding at stage (a); (c) decoding of combination of packages of stages (a) and (b) or third package if error is found at stage (b) and (d) repetition of stage (c) till decoding error stops emerging.
