FIELD: space engineering; devices for forming ultra-high vacuum (up to 10-14 mm Hg) for production of ultra- pure thin-film materials (super lattice) by molecular-beam epitaxy method. SUBSTANCE: proposed device has protective screen mounted on spacecraft and oriented perpendicularly relative to incoming flow. Besides that, proposed device is provided with additional protective casing which may be mounted both behind central part of protective screen and behind bottom shear of spacecraft oriented perpendicularly relative to incoming flow performing functions of screen. Area of aerodynamic trail is formed behind plane of screen. Additional protective casing is made in form of truncated cone whose larger open base is directed away from protective screen. Electric heaters are mounted on outer sides of lateral walls and lesser closed base. Protective casing made from material having low natural evolution of gas ensures protection of protective screen against gassing and flow of natural outer atmosphere.
