SLEWING CIRCLE OF LOGGER MANIPULATOR Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

FIELD: timber industry and forestry. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to manipulator-type loggers, namely, to their slewing circles. In proposed slewing circle of logger manipulator ring with rim over inner diameter of ring is installed under lower fixed part. Outer surface of rim is made in form of truncated cone, with smaller diameter pointed downwards. Chuck plate is installed for turning relative to vertical axis of output shaft on extension of slewing mechanism output shaft. Chuck plate is rigidly connected with brackets on free ends of which conical rollers are installed for rolling over conical surface of rim when turnable is rotated. Adjusting washers are installed between slewing mechanism output shaft and chuck plate. Proposed design of slewing circle precludes practically misalignment of teeth in meshing of drive gear and toothed rim of lower fixed part, as lower extension of output shaft is coupled with lower fixed part of chuck plate by brackets, conical rollers, rim and ring.
