FIELD: forestry and agricultural engineering. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has rotor, two knives fixed in inclined position on rotor casing and having notched cutting edges movable on conical surface by means of screw mechanism and two conical transmissions for transmitting motion from hydraulic engine. Such construction allows loading created on working tool in the process of cutting root system to be reduced and stump extraction process to be facilitated due to cut off roots. Apparatus is used in agriculture for removal of stumps from land to be prepared for agricultural purposes, and in forestry for stocking of root and stump wood.
