FIELD: organic chemistry, chemical technology. SUBSTANCE: invention describes method of synthesis of alkoxysilanes by interaction of metallic silicon with alcohol in the presence of catalyst. Mixture of copper and/or its compounds with metal chloride taken among an order: Al, Ti, Cr, Fe, Co, Ni, Zn, Zr and/or chlorosilane of the general formula Ha, Rb, Si Cl4-a-b where R means alkyl, aryl or vinyl radical that can comprise oxygen atom is used as catalyst and where a = 0, 1, 2; b = 0, 1, 2, 3; a + b = 3, not above, and mixture is taken in the amount 2-10% of silicon mass.
