FIELD: chemical industry, more particularly preparation of organosilicon compounds, machine-building industry as binding composition components, electronic industry, more particularly preparation of semiconductive silicon. SUBSTANCE: described is method of preparing alkoxysilanes of formula SiHn(OCH2)m(CH3)4-n by reaction of crushes silicon with alcohol of formula (CH2)mCH3OH wherein m=n=0-1 in high-boiling solvent in the presence of copper monochloride at temperature. Silicon is classified with water and dried, and process is then carried out in two stages In first stage, mixture of silicon with catalyst is heated in solvent, and alcohol is added at reaction temperature to attain its conversion to 80-95 at alcohol consumption of 50-100 % from its maximum consumption of alcohol, reaction mixture is then discharged and is directed to second stage, and first stage is simultaneously repeated and in second stage alcohol is added to the discharged reaction mixture to attain its conversion to 80-95 to recover 70-95 % of silicon. Reaction mixture is thereafter allowed to settle, some solvent is discharged and is directed to first stage. In order to prepare the desired product, main agent is added to reaction products, or alcohol with hydrogen chloride which is formed in the process, is added to reaction products. Recycle of solvent from first stage to second stage is repeated till solvent becomes saturated with side reaction products such as polysiloxanes, and solvent is thereafter regenerated.
