SUBSTANCE: the rope seal has a flat casing with a wedge-shaped cavity and two-longitudinal holes made inside it, one of the holes is matched with the mentioned cavity and designed for the working section of the steel rope, and in the second one the passive part of the steel rope is permanently fastened, and a spring-loaded locking member made in the form of a body of revolution placed in the wedge-shaped cavity and engageable with the side wall of the wedge-shaped cavity and the working section of the rope, the casing is made monolithic of plastic, the longitudinal holes are positioned in parallel with one another and a recess is made on the side of its lower face, the recess accommodates a plastic stopper permanently connected to the casing and having two through holes aligned with the longitudinal casing holes and a blind hole matched with the wedge-shaped cavity, the spring of the locking member is made in the form of a cylindrical compression spring, and the spring proper is installed in the blind hole.
