WIRE ROPE SEAL-LOCK Russian patent published in 1998 - IPC

FIELD: locking devices; applicable in protection of containers, freight cars, automobile bodies and other means for freight transportation. SUBSTANCE: device has spring-loaded ball engageable with wire rope and located in inclined hole, and wire rope is located in axial hole in body. The wire rope seal-lock has pilot seal carrying letter-digital information identical to information on body. Pilot seal is made in the form of L-shaped thin plate with lower part installed in recess made in body side face, and upper part having hole for wire rope rests on body upper face. Pilot seal serves as material evidence document for freight. The design of wire rope seal-lock provides for convenience from the point of view of keeping of material evidence document having clear purpose and excludes its repeated use or forgery.
