FIELD: electronics. SUBSTANCE: element of liquid-crystal display has layer of liquid crystal positioned between two substrates with clear electrodes and triad of light filters realizing color selection on three primary lengths of waves R, G , B. Color selection is carried out with the help of three phase Fresnel lenses made of photopolymer. Each lens focuses light of one wave length in slit of output mask. Liquid crystal is utilized to modulate light intensity of each of three lengths of waves. EFFECT: enlarged relative aperture, prolonged service life of element. 2 dwg
