FIELD: electronics. SUBSTANCE: element of liquid-crystal display includes layer of liquid crystal located between two substrates with clear electrodes and triad of light filters selecting color of three primary lengths of waves R, G, B. Three phase Fresnel lenses are utilized for selection of colors. Fresnel lenses are formed with application of voltage to layer of liquid crystal ( active lenses ). Each lens focuses color of one length of wave in slit of output mask. Modulation of intensity of each length of waves is realized by change of value of applied voltage without use of any polarizers.
