FIELD: petrochemical industry. SUBSTANCE: acid tar is withdrawn from earth tank over caisson chamber wherein, after filling it with bottom acid tar, the latter is heated to 40-85 C at the expense of heat carrier, acid tar preheated to 70-95 C, and thus heated acid tar is pumped out from caisson chamber, ratio of amount of acid tar pumped out from caisson chamber in unit time to amount of acid tar fed into caisson chamber as heat carrier being within a range between 1.1 and 1.9. Source of heat for heat carrier is smoke fumes resulting from burning of tar oil with air. EFFECT: reduced power consumption and increased process productivity. 2 cl, 1 dwg, 1 tbl, 15 ex
