METHOD OF ACID TARS PROCESSING Russian patent published in 2002 - IPC

FIELD: processing of acid tars with use of produced oil products as raw materials for production of bitumen and boiler fuel. SUBSTANCE: method includes taking of product from acid tar pond, its heating to temperature of 40-85 C, mixing with composition for neutralization based on hydroxides and carbonate salts of alkaline and alkaline-earth metals of I-II groups of periodic system and neutral oil products. Hydroxides and carbonate salts are preliminarily dispersed in presence of 0.3-0.7 wt.% of synthetic fat acids of C₆-C₂₂ fraction up to particles sizing 25-50 mcm. Neutralization process is carried out at temperature of 40-85 C for 6-8 h with subsequent separation of mixture into liquid and solid phases, removal of water from liquid phase in moisture evaporator heated with hot flue gases, pumping out of liquid phase - neutral oil product into storage tank and utilization of solid phase.
