FIELD: construction industry. SUBSTANCE: gear to lay pavement has machining frame and laying beam for float placement of road material hinged to it. Beam is mounted for adjustment of its lateral tilt relative to horizon line and comprises two halves which tilt is adjusted by means of drive used to spread upper roofing profile transverse to direction of laying. Electric motor or electrohydraulic drive and control device with inputs coupled to sensitive element controlling lateral tilt and sensitive element controlling roofing profile are provided to adjust tilt of roofing profile. Control device adjusts tilt of roofing profile in correspondence with specified value of lateral tilt according to preset relation of conversion of rectilinear road section to curvilinear road section in transition zone.
