CUTTERBAR DRIVE MECHANISM Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

Abstract RU 2197076 C1

FIELD: agricultural engineering. SUBSTANCE: drive mechanism has drive shaft, oscillator and rocking washer-type mechanism with casing and bearing. Oscillator is pivotally connected to casing and knife. Bushing connected through carrier with rocking washer-type mechanism is put onto drive shaft through slots for axial displacement. Casing of said mechanism is made in the form of ring equipped with eyelets and put on bearing outer casing. At least one of eyelets is connected through oscillator to knife. Oscillator imparts rocking motion to casing, which is converted into knife reciprocating motion. By adjusting knife amplitude and speed, effective mowing of tangled and fallen stalk mass is provided. Drive mechanism is used in headers of combines and harvesting machines. EFFECT: increased efficiency and simplified construction. 3 cl, 8 dwg
