FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: mechanism is designed for converting reciprocating motion into rotary motion and vice versa, and it can be used in multipiston machines. Proposed mechanism contains cylinders with pistons, drive shaft and rocking plates connected with shaft, each provided with lock to prevent rotation made in form of outer ring with trunnions coupled with connecting rods. Locking device of one plate is turned so that axes of trunnions are square to axes of trunnions of other plate which provides phase shifting of pistons in movement. Plate rocking amplitude is controlled by slider installed on shaft and connected by opposite carriers with inner rings of plates.
EFFECT: improved service characteristics, reduced overall dimensions.
