FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to mechanisms for converting rotation into reciprocation and it can be used in multipiston pneumatic and hydraulic machines. Proposed mechanism contains housing, drive shaft, rocking plate hinge-coupled with shaft, cylinders, and piston with connecting rods arranged in cylinders. Device locking the rocking plate from rotation is made in form of outer ring connected with connecting rods and furnished with trunnions mounted on supports in housing. Rocking plate has inner ring coupled with shaft for combined rotation and changing angle of tilting. Radial bearing and intermediate ring are placed between inner and outer rings. Intermediate ring is connected with outer ring by means of axles perpendicular to geometric axis of said trunnions. Splined section is provided on shaft with slider installed on said section and hinge connected through guide with inner ring of rocking plate to change angle of tilting. EFFECT: provision of stepless control of capacity and loading, improved performance characteristics. 3 cl, 2 dwg
