FIELD: apiculture. SUBSTANCE: beehive has nest casing made in the form of rectangular parallelepiped with increased height as compared to that of standard beehive. Casing has side, rear and front walls, bottom, main bee entrance, comb frames arranged in nest casing, support and cover. Each comb frame has separate sections mounted on single carcass one above another. Each section has lower and upper planks. Sections in each frame are arranged one with respect to the other so that upper and lower planks of adjacent sections tightly adjoin to one another. Magazine type extension piece is positioned in cover support and comb frames of extension piece are positioned on comb frames of casing and oriented with their surfaces perpendicular to surfaces of casing comb frames. Nest space is widened in spring-summer period of year by increasing the number of nest frames to maximum possible value. In autumn-winter period casing comb frames are positioned in parallel with casing front wall and number of casing comb frames is reduced to at least two comb frames, with reduced comb frames being replaced with boards having volume double the volume of two comb frames. Such construction allows volume of nest casing to be varied regardless of season of the year and extent of bee cluster formed therein.
