FIELD: apiculture.
SUBSTANCE: hive for autumn and winter keeping of bees has cylindrical cover with vent slots, device located under cover, ceiling with through openings, lodgment, receptacle and lower bodies and spacer therebetween. Comb frames are mounted on lodgment in receptacle body equipped with main and additional entrances. Hive has stopper and device for adjusting gap between cover and end of device located under cover. Spacer has retaining members for receptacle body and device located under cover. Stopper is fixed to ceiling so as to close opening therein. Autumn and winter bee keeping hive has additional cylindrical receptacle body and additional lodgment, and plate for dividing volume of receptacle and bottom bodies, said plate being located on spacer. Additional lodgment is positioned between receptacle bodies and provided with comb frame mounting members and members for retaining of receptacle bodies and device located under cover. Method for year-round bee keeping involves forming bee cluster according to seasons of the year in vertical multiple-story hive and providing free access of bees to comb frames simultaneously in different receptacle bodies; using hive with cylindrical receptacle bodies and locating said bodies on bottom body; performing rotation of receptacle bodies according to seasons of the year; removing top receptacle body from hive on coming of autumn and winter period; placing comb frames with feed in remaining receptacle body; providing cavity between lower ends of comb frames and bottom of bottom body by removing dividing plate; placing stopper on ceiling, with openings in ceiling being set for autumn and winter period; upon termination of autumn and winter season, lifting first receptacle body with wintered bee family, positioning second receptacle body under it, onto lower body, and communicating second body with first body; placing dividing plate onto spacer; removing stopper from ceiling; setting gap size for spring and summer period between cover and end of device located under cover.
EFFECT: increased efficiency by approximating bee keeping conditions to biologically optimal conditions regardless of climatic zones and landscape of place where hive is positioned.
