FIELD: manufacture of road building materials. SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes mixing preheated stone materials, bitumen and sulfur for obtaining homogeneous mass. According to invention, sulfur may be kept in powder-like state. Sulfur is mixed with mineral stone materials preheated to temperature of 160-180 C taken in the amount of 3 to 6% of mass of mineral materials. After mixing, oil asphalt preheated to temperature of 140-260 C is introduced in the amount of 5 to 8% of mass of mineral materials and components are mixed again. Asphalt concrete thus prepared possesses high heat resistance and water resistance at retained fluidity. Time required for preparation of mixture is halved.
