FIELD: ferrous metallurgy; making steel in electric arc furnaces. SUBSTANCE: proposed includes oxidation stage with slag flushing, reducing stage and deoxidation of slag during reducing stage. At the end of oxidation stage after slag flushing, strontium-barium carbonatite, lime and feldspar are added to furnace at ratio (1/0-2/0) : (2.5-5.0) : (0.10- 1.0), respectively. Amount of slag at basicity of 1.5 to 4.0 ranges from 1.5 to 4.0% of mass of metal. EFFECT: improved impact elasticity at positive and negative temperatures. 2 tbl
