FIELD: electrical engineering. SUBSTANCE: conducting bars 3, 4 in electrical machine end windings are cooled directly by part of cooling gas flowing through cooling ducts 8 disposed inside ear-rings 5a, 5b terminating bar ends. For the purpose ends of winding bars are made in the form of biplanar bars which are spaced apart in vicinity of eye-rings to form radial cooling duct 8. These radial cooling ducts 8 on outlet eye-rings 6b with tube joints 11 are electrically and aero-hydro-dynamically coupled with circular joints 20. Cooling ducts 9 of circular joints 20 communicate through insulating tubes 31 or hoses with suction chamber 32 of electrical machine fan separated from space 30 occupied by end windings by means of partition 33. Radial flow of cooling gas into cooling ducts 9 is augmented due to deflector 34 disposed in annular manner in space occupied by end windings near butt-ends of eye-rings 5a, 5b. EFFECT: enhanced and facilitated cooling of stator winding ends and abutting joints in space occupied by end windings. 7 cl, 6 dwg
