FIELD: agricultural engineering. SUBSTANCE: working tool holder for furrow cutter is connected to main frame for rotation in vertical plane and for penetration into soil under the action of gravity or spring positioned between main frame and working tool. Limiting device embraced with spring is positioned in parallel therewith. Spring adjoins to ends of limiting device. Stroke limiting device is positioned for sliding in working tool and has length exceeding effective length of spring. Stroke limiting device has movable stop, which is not loaded with spring. Thus, working tool operates in operating mode, in which it is free of spring loading, and in operating mode, in which it is spring-loaded. Holder is used for connecting working tools of tillage or sowing machines to main frame. Method allows mellow soil to be cultivated without excessive penetration into it.
