SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for distribution of product, for example, in agricultural pneumatic seeder. Product distributor comprises the components that follow. Frame supported at least partially by wheels to move on soil. Hopper to accommodate product to be distributed and product dispensing meter. Product distribution system which receives said product from said meter. Selective weighing of product portion is performed by scale arranged in said hopper while selective forcing of product from said meter to either distribution system or scale is performed by gaging valve. Automatic calibration of said meter comprises steps that follow. Gaging valve is displaced to position for forcing of product from meter to scale. Said meter is operated for time sufficient for determination of meter rpm whereat product dispensed by said meter is accumulated in scales. Said accumulated product is weighed to define the product discharge rate per one revolution of said meter. Gaging valve is displaced to position for forcing of product from meter to distribution system.

EFFECT: higher efficiency.
